Every analytical framework we apply to make sense of our world operates both as a filter and a revelation. It simplifies by necessity, but it also helps us find patterns. To me, complexity and abstraction are parameters that we can tune depending on our values, questions, and capacity for understanding.

My own path has been eclectic by design with the creative arts, rigorous technical inquiry, and thoughtful social engagement. It has shown me the beauty of balance. Between logic and imagination, meticulousness and play, structure and surprise. I have grown keen to engage in complexity critically and efficiently to create abstractions according to different lenses I seek.

At present, I am interested in how the knowledge and skills humans have built up across cultures and disciplines can be utilized and inform our new digitally-driven, interconnected, and rapidly changing world. My interests currently span:

• Deep learning, data science, computational creativity, software engineering
• Governance and policy in technology
